General & Emergency Surgery

As a fully trained and practising General Surgeon, I perform a range of operations. These can include major abdominal and thoracic emergencies, such as for bowel perforation, obstructions and simple conditions like appendicitis. In most of these emergencies, patients may be unwell, so it is imperative that you seek medical advice at the earliest opportunity. This will normally be your GP or closest hospital. If you do present to The London Clinic, then there are facilities available to promptly manage your condition. However, this must be done by a specialist, and in an appropriate setting.

Smaller general surgery operations that I perform include lumps and bumps (for example for lipomas and cysts), which can cause symptoms and can sometime grown in size. Although in the emergency setting I operate on coloproctology cases, for more elective conditions affecting the colon, rectum and anus, I would highly recommend my esteemed Consultant Surgical colleague Mr Alistair Slesser, who is a specialist in the management of these conditions. He can be contacted through his website (www.mralistairslesser.com).
